Smudges

We are surrounded by textures and colors. Often the objects themselves distract us from noticing the surfaces they’re made of. By moving my camera swiftly across a material, I capture its color and texture while the object becomes unrecognisable—reduced to its fabric, its grain, its quiet essence. Abstracting the texture from the object gives me a deep sense of satisfaction. It feels like revealing something that was always there, just waiting to be seen.
